An entry fee of £200 per team is payable which will be taken to cover the cost of the event. As we recommend teams of 3, we think that just over £65 per head is a small amount to pay for a once-in-life-time trip. Low carbon style, of course. The fee will cover the following:
- Send off Party from Battersea Park
- Information pack containing recommended routes, emergency contact details (such as embassy numbers) and visas if you are a non-European national
- Event T-Shirts
- Any specific advice required from the Green Machine Team
The main objective of the event is to encourage and raise awareness of low carbon travel. Therefore the remainder of the fee will be used to help meet this aim. We have a number of exciting opportunities yet to be confirmed to make this is a high profile event. This includes the interest of a production company who would like to film the race.
In addition to the fee we would also encourage teams to use the event to raise money for a charity of their choice. We will be happy to display your chosen charity on this webpage with the total amount that has been pledged and raised.
